I'm a fractional CTO and hands-on product engineer for Series A/B startups in climate, hard tech and AI that people can trust. I lead AI-first teams, and I still ship code myself.
I stay close to the product. I help founders set the vision and translate product and business goals into technical requirements. Then I write code, set up the cloud and put the product in front of users. I test in production and iterate on user feedback.
Until October 2026 I was co-founder and CTO of Mondrio, a continuous price optimization platform. I laid the technical foundation, set the AI strategy, hired the engineers and taught the team to build with Claude Code. I ran the cloud infrastructure and led our SOC 2 Type II certification.
I have a soft spot for the great north, the wild and remote places. In 2024 I spent 40 days in the Himalayas with NOLS, in complete autonomy.

What I am up to
I build QuickExpense: a receipt scanner that turns receipts into QuickBooks expenses and tax optimisation for solopreneurs. I build it in public, and you can check the roadmap here. I study ROS2, the open-source robot software, and prototype a small autonomous sailboat that runs on wind. I also learn Rust through the Backend Climb open-source curriculum I co-designed for engineers who want to understand how computers work.
